rpScoreboards are a highly-effective means for measuring and comparing talent stewardship performance throughout an organization...

Each worker, supervisor and leader can benefit by creating, perusing and considering composites of analytical information collected by the rpCamera each month.  These illuminating perspectives are known as rpScoreboards™.   This information is presented directly from the inputs supervisors and workers offer when creating their QRSnapshots.

Each organization, leader, supervisor and worker determines the threshold levels of quality within each of the 17 contexts that's acceptable and unacceptable for their particular work role, workforce and career requirements or objectives.

Important usage considerations for this rpScoreboard are:

  • The standard rpScoreboard as shown above is known as the "G-17™."  This information can be configured with, or without, comparison information (a G-17 example with comparison information is shown above).
  • The G-17 is the collective average of the configured or selected group for each of 17 different categories of rpCamera input for the past month.  The G-17 reveals the composite averages of the 7 primary relationship quality contexts that comprise QRSnapshots (the 7 left-most graphical bars), plus 10 additional vital information contexts that are submitted anonymously by workers only (the 10 right-most graphical bars).
  • The G-17 are created for selected groups as chosen at the "configure" button at the upper right area of the rpDashboard.
  • The G-17 represents data for the prior month period as of the last moment of the last day of the previous month.
  • G-17 rpScoreboards are offered equally to all participating rpPaQ users within a licensed group, inclusive of all leaders, supervisors and workers.
  • The G-17 can be optionally created to include a comparison to previous time periods, or to other groups,  by  configuring these at the "compare" button.
  • The G-17 includes the rpCamera from ALL INPUTS OF ALL participating users... even those who did not gain a response from the other party.  This assures that each user's expressions are heard and considered within the composite information for their own as well as other's maximum advantage (even if there was no consummated QRSnapshot during the period, due to the other party not responding).   This means the G-17 may include one or more individual's input from the seven contexts of QR and Flow information that hasn't been seen in QRSnapshots (since the QRSnapshot was never consummated during the period by the second party's input, thus was not presented to the respective parties).
  • Each of the G-17's contexts are available for viewing across time by choosing a "timeline view," which is directly below each graphical bar or column (more information on this in area #3 below).

More general rpScoreboard orientation:

  • The collective as well as comparative nature of rpScoreboards can be extremely revealing.  Conversely, like all collective information, averages and composites can be "dilutive" in nature (especially in large groups).  Hence, rpScoreboards do not displace the critical importance of reviewing each QRSnapshot, because it reports information about individual work role relationships.  It is possible that suboptimal relationships may exist with individuals within rather positive rpScoreboards, remaining hidden if one only views rpScoreboards. It is also advised that all upper-level supervisors utilize their "Look Down" utilities, as well as various group selections and comparison rpScoreboard configurations which may reveal issues and opportunities.
  • Due to rpCamera timing rules, whenever any user is ineligible to offer new input within a given month, that user's input is used again in the second month (from the prior month). This circumstance would be due to the other party's unresponsiveness in the prior month, whether or not the other party elects to input and consummate the QRSnapshot during the second month. This assures each user's expressions are used to the full and appropriate extent.
  • Note: To protect worker privacy, the 10 elements of anonymous, information is not compiled, nor shown, when there are less than 5 participating user inputs available within a selected group.
  • Each of the G-17's contexts are available for viewing across time by choosing a "timeline view," which is directly below each column (more information on this area #3 below).
  • A "License Group" is the group enrolled and authorized to use rpPaQ within their organization.  The Licensed Group is typically the entire group of users who are participating in rpPaq within an organization.  However, this sometimes may differ, such as when an organization has elected to place their various communities within different rpPaq licenses.  If you have questions about who is in your rpPaq License Group, please see your leadership, or alternatively, contact rpPaQ customer support either at the red  "Ask Us" tab on the left side of each page, or at our general user support area.

See step-by-step orientation and instructions below ...

1.  rpScoreboards are constructed by using the three related buttons that are on your rpDashboard.

Notes

A)  For new groups:  rpScoreboard information will not be present until you have a previous month of data available for configuration.

B)  rpScoreboard configurations are only available when user inputs for the prior month are large enough to permit configurations (n = > 4).

2.  Pull down menus may be available at the "configure" and optional "compare" buttons.  Select the "data group" you wish to configure (and optionally, a comparison), then simply press "create."

A.  Only particpating groups with 5 or more participants in the past month will be available for configuration.  If a group you desire is not available, it indicates inadequate data available.  If you believe an absence may be in error, please contact customer support immediately at the red "Ask Us" tab on the left side of each web page.

B.  For supervisor-based groups, there may be a choice of  "direct" and "all."

- "Direct" indicates the scoreboard configuration will be limited to ONLY those persons who are in a direct-reporting relationship to the selected supervisor.   No other extended or subordinate relationships/persons are included within this configuration.

-  "All" indicates everyone who may be in any hierarchal layer of reporting relationship to that supervisor are included.

C. Supervisor "All" options should only appear when there are relationships that existing below and beyond the supervisor's direct reports.

Please see further explanation of each of these in the graphic above.

E. The Compare button is an optional scoreboard construction utility and can be used when you would like to compare the group which you configured to another group or time period.

3.  A quick tour of a basic G-17 rpScoreboard (shown here without any optional comparison information)...

A. From the left are:  the seven primary QR areas (aka: QRSnapshot information), which is followed by the 10 additional anonymous worker inputs of vital and QR-related organizational parameters, such as  leadership, talent stewardship, work role performance support (U-Factors™) and career competitiveness.

B.  Each context's bar score has a "general" color coding per the legend shown in the lower area of the G-17 and by the colored numbers on the right and left, as a bar graph representation.

C. As a general rule, for those workplaces that desire to enjoy the many benefits of high QR quality, quality levels below a level of 4 may be of concern.  Likewise, quality levels below 3.5 typically merit diagnostic and remedial talent stewardship attention. You will note a light orange dotted line extends across your rpScoreboard at that point.

It's up to each organization and its leadership to accurately determine/define and communicate G-17 scores deemed as essential, desirable and undesirable for their organization for each of the 17 contexts.

D. At the base of each contextual bar, you can access its timeline by clicking on "view" (see following area #3).

E. If applicable, and if the data is available, blue dots may appear in the first three, left-most contexts .  These are known as the "Macro Points of View™" (or "Macro POV™").  Each blue dot represents the selected supervisor's personal QRSnapshot level of quality in their three Organizational Triangle™ areas.  This information can be useful in learning how that supervisor (and often by extension, the greater group) is being viewed by a higher-level supervisor to whom the selected supervisor reports.  The Macro POV of quality and personal performance can be, but not always, a reflection of the more general perspectives of the configured group's performance.  When there are significant differences between the group scores and Macro POV, diagnosis and understanding of the reasons is advised.  When applicable, remedial actions should be initiated.  The transparency of Macro POV information can be useful for a worker's better understanding and empathy of, and attention to, current supervisory priorities and challenges.

4.  A G-17 rpScoreboard configured with a comparison option.

Each comparison will be directly to the right at each of the 17 contexts.   Comparison bars are a lighter shade and are somewhat thinner than the base 17 contexts.

5.  Timeline "views" provide trends of each base context across time.  Additionally, this view provides a real time, dynamic view of the current month's data at the right-most bar...

Each timeline provides a view of a given context across time, in monthly increments, with the left side (yellow background) being the oldest to the right side (green background ) being the newest.  Each timeline can be viewed by selecting "view" at the bottom of each bar of the G-17 rpScoreboard.  Timeline information can offer important perspectives as to trends and patterns across time.

Additionally, the right-most timeline bar provides real time for the current month, day and hour  (shown in green circle above... this data is not shown on the more general and all inclusive G-17 rpScoreboard of prior months).  Therefore, the right-most bar is offering up-to-the-moment information that is being gathered from user rpCamera inputs within the present month, thus you may find that this "real time bar" is changing throughout the month with each rpCamera usage.   Due to the incomplete nature of this real time information, care should be exercised in reaching any conclusions or taking any applicable actions.

Remember:  neither the G-17 Scoreboard, nor timelines require "consummated QRSnapshots" for deriving and presenting its information.  All user information is being applied... even when "the other party" has not responded with their respective rpCamera input.

Also, no information is presented for any context until 5 users have offered information for that context.

6. Additional Explanation of G-17 Calculations.

a. If there are 5 or more supervisor QRSnapshot ratings (do not have to be consummated) per rpPermit, entered in a previous month, Outcomes, Resources and Risks are displayed in the G-17 rpScoreboard.

b. If there are 5 or more worker QRSnapshot ratings (do not have to be consummated) per rpPermit, entered in a previous month, Functional Satisfaction, Social Satisfaction, Life Effects plus the U-Factors are displayed in the G-17 rpScoreboard.

c. If one party completes their QR ratings and the other party does not in the current month, these ratings are included in the Timeline current month to date data.

d. Whenever there are not a minimum number of 5 QRSnapshots (do not have to be consummated) in a G-17 rpScoreboard time period, "0.00" is displayed.

e.  The 1-5 quality levels of the rpScoreboard only somewhat correlate with the more distinctly defined 1-5 quality levels within each QRSnapshot... since the former is a composite, whereas the latter is specific information about a discrete work role relationship with a person.
